Question 1 of 15 · Windows

Which Run command opens Device Manager on Windows 11?

Career changers ask the same question: 'Am I ready for an IT job, or do I still need a course?' A certificate name does not answer that. A short, honest skills check does. This free IT skills assessment scores Windows, networking, cybersecurity, Microsoft 365, and WordPress with questions we actually use in onboarding interviews and first-week labs. You get a level, a weakest category, and a next step. It is not a hiring exam. It is a map for choosing what to learn next.

How to use the IT Skills Assessment

  1. 1

Answer all 15 questions. Each one is multiple choice and matches a real help-desk or junior-admin task.

  2. 2

Submit to see your overall score, level, and a bar for each category.

  3. 3

Study the weakest category with the matching free tools on this site, then retake the assessment in a week.

Why a skills test beats a random course catalogue

Beginners buy a cybersecurity course when they cannot yet open Event Viewer. Networking students skip Windows and then freeze on a desktop ticket. An assessment that names the gap is kinder than a brochure. We built these questions from the same topics as our Windows, Microsoft 365, and IT on-boarding lessons: error codes, Run commands, private IP, MFA, SPF, and WordPress robots.txt. Your result should point at a path, not a vanity score.

IT skills assessment with results

A career changer who scores 12/15 with a dip in Microsoft 365 should use the license calculator and SPF generator next, then sit a Microsoft 365 practice test. Someone who misses the Windows items should live in Event Viewer and the error-code lookup for a week before they touch a CCNA playlist.
