8 sessions · 16 weeks · Starts 17 October 2026

Description

What this course covers

A fast, practical introduction to the technologies you'll actually use in an IT role — Networking, Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Cloud, Google Workspace, and Cybersecurity — taught live, hands-on, over 4 weekends.

This is a broad foundation course, not a deep-dive into any single area. It's built to get you fluent enough in each technology to speak confidently about it, recognize it in a real workplace, and know where to go next — whether that's a job, or one of our specialist courses (CCNA, Linux, Cyber Security) to go deeper.

All sessions are live online with a real instructor — real-time Q&A, no pre-recorded videos, no watching alone.

How We Teach

We teach the course as a connected IT environment rather than seven unrelated subjects. Networking explains connectivity, identity explains access, cloud services explain where work happens, and security applies across all of them.

Classes are live and practical. The instructor demonstrates real support workflows and students complete guided exercises, ask questions and practise explaining what they see.

Troubleshooting is taught as a method: gather information, identify the scope, test safely, document what changed and know when to escalate.

What You Will Leave With

  • A broad practical foundation across seven core IT skill areas.

  • A clearer understanding of how workplace IT systems fit together.

  • Hands-on exposure to support, networking, Windows, cloud, identity and security tasks.

  • A repeatable approach to basic troubleshooting and problem documentation.

  • A clearer pathway toward networking, Microsoft 365, cloud, Linux, cybersecurity or support-focused study.

  • A Binary-Tech Institute Certificate of Completion after successful course completion.
