Digital Skills for Life in the UK

Build computer confidence in 4 weeks. Learn email, online safety and how to use UK government and public service websites with practical lessons at Binary-Tech.

8 sessions · 4 weeks

Description

Sending an email, uploading a document or finding the right government website can feel difficult when you are unfamiliar with computers or UK services. This course helps you practise these tasks with guidance from an instructor.

During the first two weeks, you will learn to use a computer, browse the internet, send emails, organise documents and complete online forms. You will also learn how to recognise suspicious messages and protect your personal information.

During the second two weeks, you will apply these skills to everyday life in the UK. You will explore GOV.UK, local council websites, health services and official information about immigration status and support. You will also practise finding courses and suitable employment opportunities.

Complete beginners receive clear instructions and extra practice. Learners who already use computers confidently work on more independent tasks and learn how to navigate unfamiliar UK services.
